Platform Engineer

Job description

Astronomer is a platform for deploying, managing and working with the popular open source project Apache Airflow on Kubernetes. Airflow is a tool for orchestrating complex computational workflows and data processing pipelines. Running Apache Airflow at scale can require significant investment from a company.

Astronomer makes it easy to launch new clusters, and continuously deploy new pipelines to those clusters. As a platform engineer, you will be working on the core of Astronomer, building the best Apache Airflow experience on top of Kubernetes. Astronomer targets customers on all major cloud platforms, as well as on-prem.

  • Work with enterprise customers to configure and install the platform on their Kubernetes clusters.
